Ultimate Staffing is seeking an HR Generalist for our well-established client in Fresno, CA.
This is a full-time role paying $23-$26 an hour depending on experience.
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Generalist. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is people-focused, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with enrollment and changes
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity in HR systems
- Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Coordinate training programs and support organizational development efforts
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping systems as needed
- Support HR projects, audits, and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of HR experience preferred
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paycom, or similar)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Experience supporting multi-state or remote workforces
- Familiarity with employee engagement and retention strategies
